We provide absolutely everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay - the perfect cookware, utensils, appliances, spices, coffee and teas, luxurious beds and linens, stylish outdoor lounging, stimulating games and puzzles, and desert night hot tub soaking with a real wood burning fire under the stars. ★ We're not your typical Airbnb - we take pride in providing an exceptional experience to each of our guests, every time. This requires a commitment from every guest that they will take good care of our home and treat it with respect. By booking with us you are agreeing to tread lightly, clean up after yourself (especially in the kitchen), and follow our simple check-out instructions so that we can keep things running smoothly and provide excellent hospitality for years to come. We love sharing our home with clean and respectful guests who treat our place with care - if you are the type to leave a mess and not follow check-out instructions, please do not book with us!


★ Please note that our place is best suited for 4 adults (perfect for 2 couples) but we can accommodate up to 6 (4 adults + 2 kids or 5 adults + 1 kid) for an additional $50 per person/per day fee. We do not accept bookings for 6 adults as our place is quite cozy and would feel cramped with 6 adults AND we also do not accept more than 4 guests for a single night reservation.


★ We do offer early check-in at 2pm and late check-out at 12pm for an additional $75. Please inquire at time of booking if interested.


★ Please note that we do not accept pets of any kind, this allows us to keep our place absolutely pristine and spotless at all times :)


★ If you are new to Airbnb (or have an account with less than 3 positive reviews or any negative reviews) we're happy to host you, but we require a $500 security deposit at the time of your booking.


★ We are on the edge of a neighborhood, however there are 100+ acres of open land and unobstructed mountain views to the south and west so it feels very expansive.


★ If you leave an item behind we'd be happy to ship it back to you but we do charge $10 + actual shipping fees :)



★ In-Ground Pool ★

We designed and built our pool with both aesthetics and functionality in mind. Although small (12x18ft), it delivers a totally fresh and unique experience that will keep your body cool and your mind curious. We also provide a giant 10ft umbrella that fits into a sleeve in the baja shelf for that much needed midday shade as well as floaties, water toys, and goggles for the kids. Expansive and unobstructed mountain views complete the desert vibe, making La Choza the perfect spot for your next desert getaway!

*We offer pool heating (during winter months) for an additional daily fee, please let us know when you book so we can program the heater to turn on during your stay.

We provide a level 2 EV charger for all of our guests free of charge. Please let us know if you plan to use it so we can activate it for the duration of your stay.

After booking, you will receive a beautiful digital guidebook with all the information you could possibly need during your stay. Think of it as a house manual wrapped inside a local area guide. You'll find easy check-in and check-out instructions as well as helpful pictures and videos on how to operate everything in the house. We've covered literally everything in the guidebook so that your stay can be completely stress-free.

Most people are unaware of the terrible water quality in the high desert and how bad it can be for your skin, hair, and health. But don't worry, we have you covered. Our custom whole-house water filter is specifically designed to remove the exact contaminant profile found in the 29 Palms water supply.

Guest access
You have access to the entire house and 1 acre property. Since there are no neighbors to the south and west, feel free to walk the trails and explore the nearby mesa for an expansive view of the valley.

There is a huge parking area in the front with a drive-thru driveway for quick and easy loading/unloading right at the door.

Check-in window is 4pm-10pm, if you arrive later than 10pm we may not be available to help with any issues and are not responsible for any lockouts or issues that arise after 10pm!

Other things to note
★ NO PET POLICY ★

In order to accommodate guests with severe allergies to pet hair and dander (ourselves included), we cannot allow any pets at our property (including emotional support animals). If we determine that a pet was brought onto the property without our knowledge, we will charge the guest $250 for a full-property deep cleaning.



★ Cleaning Standards ★

We take extra steps to keep our guests and cleaners safe, including additional attention to high-use surfaces (sinks, showers, toilets, faucets, door knobs/handles, light switches, remotes, etc.) and we wash all linens, bathmats, towels, and dishes in EXTRA HOT water.



★ Wildlife ★

We are located in the desert with lots of native wildlife. You might see rabbits, coyotes, mice, beetles, snakes, spiders, etc. Keep in mind that the desert is their home and it's all part of the experience. The backyard is fully fenced for additional protection.



★ Security ★

For your safety we have a front doorbell camera, front patio camera, driveway camera, and camera on the left side of the house as well as motion lights on the front porch and sides of the house. These are primarily intended for theft deterrence during vacancy but can also be helpful in letting us know when you have arrived and checked out. We respect your privacy and do not actively monitor on our guests :)



★ Septic ★

Like most homes in the desert, we are on a septic system so please do not flush anything down the toilets other than toilet paper.



★ Wifi ★

There is excellent cell phone service at the house and we have extremely fast internet (920mbps).



★ Morning Light ★

We have lots of natural light at La Choza! While we do have roll up shades on all the windows, they are not blackout. If you're a late sleeper, we recommend bringing a sleep mask.



★ Neighborhood ★

While we do have a couple of neighbors, when you're here (especially in the back) it feels like you're the only one as there's over 100 acres of undeveloped land to the south and west.



★ Groups + Parties ★

If you plan to have any additional guests at the property during your stay we ask that you notify us in advance to get approval - we allow a maximum of 6 people total. Only guests listed on the reservation will be allowed for overnight stays, no exceptions.

If we discover that more than 6 guests are at the property at any given time (without prior consent) we will consider it a 'party' and reserve the right to charge the guest $500 for deep cleaning additional and wear and tear/maintenance. We don't mind if you want to have a few additional guests over for dinner, pool use, etc. but please check in with us first!



★ Filming + Photography ★

If you are planning to do any kind of filming or photography you MUST get consent from us first and we will require a minimum $500 deposit + additional filming fees depending on the nature of the project.
